Adirondack Boathouse

Adirondack Boathouse

Project Overview

The art of appearing natural. The owners of this private boathouse wanted to create a structure inspired by the old Adirondack camps of northern New York, a perfect complement to their rustic boating and hunting lifestyle.

Maintaining the natural look. A trademark of Adirondack style is the use of unfinished materials like tree trunks and bark-on wood. Nor-Son sourced beautiful raw wood—red cedar from British Columbia and white cedar from the heart of the Adirondacks in New York—painstakingly choosing each tree by hand.
