Breaking Ground at Deer Hill
Breaking ground on our Deer Hill Lot 123 project was filled with excitement as our team, joined by Rehkamp Larson Architects and O’Hara Interiors, celebrated the start of an exciting new beginning. Months of planning, drawing, selecting and anticipating finally came to fruition this Summer as our shovels hit the ground. Finally, our Signature Home is coming to life, and we can’t wait to keep you updated as the home, piece by piece, transforms into the beautiful abode we’ve been dreaming up.
Deer Hill Lot #123 looks a lot different today than how it did a few weeks ago. In Medina, more than the seasons are shifting – mornings give way to a job trailer covered in dew, the young and well-postured maples are undeniably giving way to seasonal reddish pigment, and most noticeably, our sturdy foundation and stately frame has comfortably made its mark overlooking the picture-perfect Deer Hill Preserve landscape.
The stage is now set for the rest of the home to be built (pun intended). So, what’s next? Framing will continue over the next few weeks, followed closely by a series of exciting progress milestones. Forming the Dream Team
What happens when you get “long lost friends” in a room together to talk about collaborating on a new and invigorating project concept? A lively conversation filled with laughter and a bucket of beautiful ideas. That’s what happened when our team first came to Rehkamp Larson Architects (RKL) with this vision. It had been since the idyllic Northern Lights Cottage that we had worked together, and our team approached RKL knowing a reunion was long overdue.
After RKL agreed to join the project, our concept and planning meetings became something we looked forward to – each session sharpening the vision. Nearly a year of strategy and collaboration later, our dream came to list on paper: a breathtaking Signature Home.
Finalizing plans meant bringing in O’Hara Interiors – the missing ingredient to the mix. We wanted O’Hara on the job for a few key reasons. First, they are incredible at what they do. Second, it had been a while since we had worked with them, plus they had yet to work with Rehkamp. Third, they loved the project, our vision, and all of its potential.
Now reflecting on where we’re at, it’s important to note that getting to this point didn’t happen at the drop of a hardhat or swipe of a pen. See, the uniqueness of this Signature Home is found within our team. We started as an unexpected crew, but now we’re moving like a well-oiled machine – each part working perfectly to keep everything moving forward.
