Mastered construction for this grand chateau. Nor-Son’s creative craftsmanship was called on to create traditional architectural details with modern construction techniques. Our background in home design and architecture helped us in our role as general contractor on this project. Because construction began before the design was finalized, it was up to us to plan the build to accommodate different materials and finishes.  

An old-world chateau meets Northwoods style. The timeless look of this estate is achieved with Wisconsin stone covering the entire exterior and main interior rooms. Reclaimed hand-hewn oak and poplar was sourced from Indiana and used in the structural truss systems in the great room and porte-cochere, lending a historic ambiance that complements the traditional architectural style. Black walnut hardwood floors and rustic timbers accentuate the antique decor.
