Located on Maple Lake near Alexandria, Maple Lake Modern tells a story of resilience and restoration. Nearly a decade after originally building the home, Nor-Son was called back following a devastating tornado that caused extensive damage to the property and surrounding neighborhood.

While nearby homes were destroyed and debris from neighboring structures struck the residence, the goal was not to rebuild from scratch, but to thoughtfully restore what had been damaged. Significant repairs included reconstructing portions of the roof and addressing widespread structural impacts, all while preserving the home’s original vision and character. Through careful craftsmanship and attention to detail, the restoration brought the home back to life—allowing the homeowners to once again enjoy the place they loved on the lake.
